Queens County, New York is the tenth largest county in the United Sates. Boasting a population of 2,270,338, it’s easy to see why they call it the “Big” Apple! Queens is one of the most well known areas of New York. Maybe that’s because there is so much history located in the county. Queen’ John F. Kennedy Airport is located along the Jamaica Bay. In terms of international travelers, it is said to be among the busiest in the world. While many travelers may just be “passing through”, many will take a moment to stop in and site see. Downtown Flushing, located in the heart of Queens is the second largest China Town in New York. It is a favorite among tourists. Visit in winter to catch the Chinese New Year and Lunar Celebrations. Amongst other  popular attractions also include stopping by for a hotdog at the Shea Stadium and watching the Mets take a swing.

The Queens County Court house is located in its county seat of Jamaica. It is where you can find Queens County’s public government records such as birth certificates, military records, death certificates and tax information. Many of these files are available to the general public for free. The courthouse is located at 88-11 Sutphin Boulevard Jamaica, New York 11435. Metered parking is available at the surrounding streets of the courthouse. Private lots are also available across from the courthouse itself.
